Police are investigating whether a cat may have been shot with an air rifle in the Trelawney Estate area of Madron.

The animal is alive and well and is the incident, as yet unconfirmed, may have occurred up to three weeks ago, with any wounds now healed.

Officers would like other owners in the area to be aware of the concerns.

Any members of the public who may have seen individuals shooting illegally should contact PC Evans at Penzance Police Station on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
