Just as volunteers from the Friends of Falmouth Bay prepare to get their hands dirty with another weekend clean-up, the group has received a cash boost from residents of the Seascapes apartments on Cliff Road.

The £150 donation, one of several received recently, will be spent on paint and other materials and tools to help with the work being executed by the volunteers along the seafront.

The Friends will be joined by personnel from Falmouth Fire Station next weekend, July 11 to 13, when they embark on their next project to renovate the seafront shelter and seats near Gyllyngvase Beach.

More volunteers would be welcomed throughout the weekend and anyone able to offer some help is asked to call Bruce Hobbs on 07989 979683, or just turn up on either of the days. Jobs will include sanding benches, rubbing down paintwork, and painting.
