Falmouth Packet: Three men arrested after attack on four women leaves one with broken ribs Three men arrested after attack on four women leaves one with broken ribs

Police are appealing for witnesses after four women were assaulted outside a fast food take away, leaving one with four broken ribs.

The group of local women were verbally assaulted by three men outside the Vino fast food take away on Fore Street, Torpoint at around 1am on Monday, June 30.

Two of the women were punched in the face resulting in one woman, aged 21, suffering a nose bleed.

The other woman, aged 20, fell to the floor and hit her head on the road. She then suffered a 20 minute fit.

Whilst on the ground she has also punched and kicked which resulted in three or four broken ribs, as well as a sore neck and face.

The other two women in the group were struck to the head. An 18-year-old woman suffered whiplash, a stiff neck and a bump to the rear of her head, whilst the 19-year-old woman did not suffer any injuries.

Three men from Torpoint, aged 23, 26 and 31, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail until 30 July.

Anyone who witnessed the assault, or has any information that could assist with the investigation, is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference CR/085738/14, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

True Gill. But what else do you expect from a " Tin Can Town " that is Torpoint? Have you seen some of the Housing Estates there? I'd rather walk through the back streets of Cairo!

Probably because I do things like intervening when a bus driver is being abused by a passenger, and intervening and preventing a thief from taking money from a car park honesty box etc.
Maybe if I walked away from situations I would not have been hit on occasions, unfortunately it is not in my nature to walk away.

Men. There is a difference between self defence and retaliation, I was not in a position to defend myself or retaliate. I do not believe in retaliation anyway, it causes escalation of violence.

Well my opinion is if GZM stopped someone from taking money from a honesty box then she deserved to to be hit by the bloke, she should have just let him steal it because if he hadn't taken it the collectors that empty the box would anyway. You don't think they bother to pay it in do you, there's no record of it like in a normal machine.
I've never met Gill, but she obviously sounds like she does what she thinks is right and there's nothing wrong with that, for you to say she deserved to be hit is just ridiculous, no one deserves to be hit under those circumstances, and for you to say the collectors would take the money anyway and not pay it in, is a terrible accusation against those people that empty the boxes.

Oh come on when those collectors empty those honesty boxes it goes straight in their pockets. Probably find as well the only reason GZM stopped the bloke stealing the money was because she wanted to steal it herself. So what happened to the money then?

I love the sarcasm lol, i could learn a lot from you lol. I think the women in the article must have asked for trouble too. It is so obvious GZM wanted to steal the carpark box money and that's why she stopped the bloke from stealing it.
sarcasm is the lowest form of wit and to say the women in the article must have asked for trouble is despicable .

Levener havn't you got any work to do? How can you justify accusing people you know nothing about of taking money. Of course the collectors don't keep the money, don't you think Cornwall Council would question it if no money was ever paid in from honesty boxes. And to accuse GZM is ridiculous, she wouldn't have mentioned it if she had taken the money.

Gill stole the money from the carpark box after she got it off the bloke, and the collectors usually help themselves to the money.
Your comment is completely untrue. I handed the money into the one stop shop in Helston at the time.
I have never stolen anything in my life.
I think your comments about the collectors are untrue and disrespectful.

Thanks meerkats, I do not mind taking insults but I object to having my honesty questioned, I would never compromise my honesty ever, for any reason, or in any situation, in either what I say or do. It is just something I personally happen to feel strongly about.
