Quick thinking members of Royal Cornwall Yacht Club helped a person and a dog after they got into trouble in the water off Greenbank in Falmouth.
Falmouth cliff rescue team and Falmouth inshore lifeboat were called out yesterday afternoon after a report of a person and a dog in trouble.
The RNLI crew quickly arrived at the scene off the Greenbank Hotel and found that the yacht club had just recovered the casualty and dog.
The yacht club transferred them to the inshore lifeboat and returned them to shore where coastguard rescue officers treated them for hypothermia and ensured everything was ok before allowing them both to return home.
A spokesman said: "A quick and safe response by all involved with the casualty being rescued within a few minutes of entering the water. Good job"
