Children from schools in and around Penryn had the chance to meet and mingle at an event at Penryn College.

Key stage one students from six of the college’s partnership primary schools – Constantine, Flushing, Kennall Vale, Penryn Infants, Mabe, and Mawnan Smith – were invited to an inclusion day on Wednesday. There they had the opportunity to try out a range of activities.

Students had the chance to develop their skills in sports including football, basketball, golf and curling along with taking part in other challenges and parachute games. Older students were on hand, assisting the youngsters and helping them to improve as they rotated around the course.

Ros Bastian, who organised the event, told the Packet: “It’s a fun first event, introducing six and seven-year-olds to different sports and activities. They just had fun trying out new things.”
