Members of Mawnan Smith Rainbows were treated to a grand tour of the RNLI station in Falmouth recently, and even had a chance to sit at the helm of the rescue boat itself on the water.
The youngsters, all aged between five and seven, had a great time seeing the work the RNLI does in saving lives and enjoyed learning about safety awareness in and around the shores of Cornwall.
The visit ended with the Rainbows, pictured right, presenting the RNLI team with the proceeds of some fundraising efforts from a cake sale that they had organised earlier this year.
