Police are investigating the death of a man after his body was discovered in a field near Bodmin.
A dog walker discovered the body in the field at the back of Gilbert Road shortly before 5.55pm on Tuesday, (July 15).
A police spokesman said: "The body of a man, believed to be in his late 40s, has not been formally identified yet but his next of kin has been informed.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained pending results of a forensic post mortem which will be carried out in due course."
"A cordon was set up around fields surrounding the building site of Canyke Fields to allow forensic officers to examine the scene."
