Jake Shakespeare, of St Peter’s Way, Porthleven, has been found not guilty at Truro’s magistrates’ court to charges of assault and criminal damage.

Mr Shakespeare, aged 24, had previously pleaded not guilty to assaulting Deborah Smalley by beating her in Helston and also to damaging a mug and two internal wooden doors belonging to her.

A trial last month acquitted Mr Shakespeare of both charges and the case was dismissed.
