An open garden and cream teas event held at the Mylor Churchtown home of Chris and Sue Spinks raised over £700 for the local RNLI at the weekend.

Admission charges and donations came to £460 and a further £262 was made on the sale of shop souvenirs in a gazebo.

The Falmouth RNLI Guild will be holding its annual Flag Day next Wednesday (July 23) and collection buckets will be dotted around the town.
