Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Penzance promenade shelter.
The 62-year-old local woman was attacked in a shelter on the Promenade in Penzance, near Alexandra Road, at around 2am on Sunday, July 20.
A white man wearing a hooded top approached the woman, made an offensive comment to her and then kicked and punched her.
He was seen running away in the direction of Newlyn.
The woman suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault.
Anyone who witnessed this offence, or has any information, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference CR/091316/14.
