Falmouth councillors have backed plans to create two homes at a former butcher's shop.

Plans to convert and extend the former Boreham Butcher’s shop, maisonette and garage in Killigrew Street, Falmouth, to create two residential units with onsite parking are being supported by the town’s planning committee.

The premises were used as a Butcher's, not an Abattoir. I think there is a difference. My opinion is that this is an excellent development that will provide residential occupancy and not converted into yet more Student Accommodation in Killigrew. Let us hope that the same will happen to the former Electrical shop further down the street. This has lain empty for a couple of years now, and with people supposedly on the Council Housing list, surely it could be converted into Flats at least?
