Detectives are on the hunt for an arsonist who set deliberately fire to a shed and toilets at a Cornwall motor racing club.

Fire crews were called to North Cornwall Motor Racing Club in Netherbridge, Launceston, around 10.30pm on Saturday, July 12 and found the shed burning.

The shed was completely destroyed along with 20 fire extinguishers and PA equipment inside.

The blaze had spread to two portable toilets next door and caused more than £1,000 damage in total.

The fire is being treated as arson and detectives are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious individuals or vehicles around the club or the village of St Giles-on-the-Heath between 9.30pm and 10.30pm.

They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a grey vehicle containing four or five people, which was seen near the club at the time.
