A vet had to be called out to sedate a horse in Ponsanooth this lunchtime, after its leg became stuck between metal bars.
Five firefighters from Falmouth attended the call just after 1pm after a report that the rear leg of a horse had become trapped between two metal bars in a stable.
A spokesman said: "Once on scene crews assessed the situation, fortunately the quick thinking owner of the animal had called a vet who sedated the horse enabling crews a safer environment to use crash rescue equipment to cut the metal bars freeing the animal’s foot."
