The owner of a lost wedding ring is asking peple to keep an eye out after it went missing on a trip to the beach in Falmouth.

Beach goers are being asked to keep an eye out for the plain gold wedding ring after it slipped off William Hancock’s finger while he was messing about in the water at Gyllyngvase in Falmouth – only three weeks after he had tied the knot.

William and his new bride, Isobel, live in Bristol but were down visiting his parents, Rachel and Brian Hancock, who live near Feock, after their honeymoon.

They were enjoying some time at Gyllyngvase Beach on the afternoon of Sunday, July 20, when he lost his wedding ring.

“They were just playing in the water and then when he got out he realised his wedding ring had gone,” said his sister Becky.

“It must have been that his finger had shrunk in the cold.”

Anyone who finds William’s wedding ring is asked to call Becky on 07578 991254.
