Penryn Junior and Infant Schools have held their first summer fair together as they move closer before becoming Penryn Primary Academy.
As well as the usual stalls there was entertainment from a hip-hop dance group, a morris troupe, folk singers, a local tae kwon do group and Penryn’s Swamp Circus.
Head teacher Robin Cowen said: “The idea was to be a collaborative event between the governors, parents, pupils and children of both schools, so we had them all working alongside each other.”
He added: “The weather forecast was for torrential rain and it turned out sweltering so it turned out really great.”
Although money is still coming in as the schools sell the last of their goods, they are estimated to have raised about £1,200 which will be used for extra treats for the children.
