The weather may not have realised it was meant to be a summer fete, but everything else went off without a hitch at Sithney Primary School's event.
Rain meant that most of the action had to be moved inside, where the stalls were set up in the hall.
A few games still took place outside, but the planned swing rides and boat rides had to be cancelled.
Despite this there were plenty of people enjoying what was on offer, with £400 raised for school funds.
Cheryl Richardson, chair of the Families of Sithney School group, which organised the fete, said: “It went really well.”
She thanked in particular teaching assistants Tom Richards and Hannah Jefferies, who ran the wet sponge throwing stand - with Mr Richards taking the brunt of sponges.
School cook Lisa Jones was also thanked for her work providing teas, coffees, cakes and chips, with the help of Susan and Kim.
“Thanks to the other parents who helped run a stall and people who donated cakes,” added Mrs Richardson.
Any leftover cakes were donated to the Live for the Applause show by Teresa Blee Dance Ltd, of which some pupils at Sithney are members. These were then sold to raise further funds for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society, which the dance show was in support of.
