A man charged with stealing from his employer in Falmouth has had his case delayed for a second time.
Matthew Dobson, 26, from Longfield, Falmouth, is charged with stealing paintings and cash from his employer, Driftwood Galleries, alongside a charge of fraud. Judge Graham Cottle told at Truro Crown Court on Friday, August 1 that the trial would be put back by no more than 14 days. This will allow the defence counsel to get fully acquainted with the case and indicate a plea.
This is the second time the case has been put back without any plea being entered. Judge Cottle told Fred Howell, counsel for the defence that Dobson had to understand that there comes a time when the clock starts ticking regarding credit for making a plea.
A date has been set for August 15.
