THIS year's Grade Ruan Vintage Rally has finally broken its curse and been held with “marvellous weather” after five years of poor conditions.
Described as going “very well” by Tim Hurst of the vintage rally committee, the 28th annual event in the village of Ruan Minor saw more than 2,000 visitors, making it “the most successful in five years.”
On display this year was a multitude of vehicles including vintage cars and tractors, old military vehicles and even horsepower of a different kind, with heavy horses and carriages too.
“It was a good day all round” said Tim Hurst. Following previous financial struggles to keep the event running, the committee are now pleased to say they plan to hold the 29th vintage rally next year.
