A biker has been airlifted to hospital after suffering serious head injuries in a crash this morning.
Officers were called to the serious road traffic collision involving a red Honda C90 motorcycle and a silver Nissan Primastar van near Badgers Cross, Penzance, shortly after 7.45am this morning.
The male motorcyclist suffered a serious head injury which is believed to be life threatening.
He was originally taken by air ambulance to Treliske Hospital, Cornwall, but has now been transferred to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.
The road has been closed at Badgers Cross to the junction for Tremenheere riding stables.
Sergeant Chris Lovell, Serious Collisions Investigation Unit, based at Camborne, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the two vehicles shortly before the collision.”
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to call the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit via 101 quoting reference 152 of 11 August.
