A drink driver who was caught by the police and registered more than twice the legal limit told Truro magistrates that without his licence he would lose his job.
Andrew Green, aged 44, of Kernick Park, Penryn, pleaded guilty to drink driving at Falmouth on July 25 when he tested at 78 mcg in breath.
Jill Wilson, for the CPS, said police were following his car in the early hours and saw it cross the white line.
Green told the magistrates: “It was a very stupid thing I did and I apologise for it”.
Factory worker Green was banned from driving for 17 months and fined £180 with £105 costs and surcharge.
