Falmouth's Inshore Lifeboat was launched at around 7pm on April 12 to a 17ft motor boat which had broken down in Mylor Creek.

The crew launched the boat and headed up the Carrick Roads and into Mylor Creek and located the boat on the north side of the creek which was pulled back into the channel.

It was then towed back to its mooring where it was safely secured and the owner was taken ashore.

An RNLI spokesperson said: "The motor boat had broken down and drifted onto the northern shoreline on the top of the tide. With no other vessels in the area the inshore lifeboat was launched to assist."
