Falmouth's inshore lifeboat was called away from RNLI Fun Night last week to assist a rigid inflatable boat which had broken down after watching the Red Arrows display.
The boat was alongside Custom House Quay on the evening of August 13 when at 7.16pm Falmouth Coastguard asked for it to assist a boat with six people on board, one of whom had dialled 999.
An RNLI spokesperson said: "The six metre rigid inflatable had been returning to the Helford after watching the Red Arrows display in Falmouth Harbour when it had broken down near Black Rock.
"The Inshore Lifeboat arrived on scene at 7.21pm and having taken the boat in tow headed for the Falmouth Yacht Haven where the boat was safely secured at 7.54pm."
