Three people on board a motor boat had to be rescued on Friday morning after developing problems off Nare Head at the entrance to the Helford estuary.
At around 11.10am on August 15, Falmouth Coastguard requested that the inshore lifeboat be sent to a 21ft motor boat that was reporting engine problems , and a local rescue boat also responded and stood by the vessel until the lifeboat's arrival.
A spokesperson for Falmouth RNLI said: "The motor boat had managed to make some headway back towards the mouth of the Helford but with its engine still causing problems the inshore lifeboat took the boat in tow and headed up the Helford estuary placing it on its mooring off the Helford River Sailing Club at 11.55am.
"The motor boat which had three persons on board had been on a short trip out into the bay when it had developed engine problems and had called the coastguard to request assistance."
The RNLI's volunteer crew was: Neil Capper (Helmsman), Thomas Telford, Jack Chuter
