The crew of a broken down boat were able to restart its engine before the arrival of the lifeboat volunteers during an incident off St Anthony lighthouse at the weekend.
At around 4.45pm on Sunday, August 17, Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth inshore lifeboat be launched following a report of a rigid inflatable with six people on board broken down off St Anthony Lighthouse.
A lifeboat spokesperson said: "The inshore lifeboat launched from her slipway at 4.50pm and having rounded the docks headed towards St Anthony Lighthouse.
"At4.55pm the inshore lifeboat arrived on scene and was able to confirm that the rigid inflatable had managed to restart its engine and no longer required any assistance."
