A date has been set for a reunion of former children and staff at Helston's Children's Home.

Baden Christophers and Martin Matthews of the Baden and Martin History Group have been working with David Caunter and Christine James, former residents together with younger brother Arthur, to help |organise an event.

It is for anyone who lived at Vyvyan House in Casterills Road, or was a staff member from when it was opened in 1936 to when it closed decades later.

The reunion will take place at Helston Methodist Chapel on Wednesday, September 10, meeting at 10am and ending with light refreshments.

Anyone interested in attending should contact Packet news editor Emma Ferguson as early as possible so that arrangements can be made for the catering.

Several people have already confirmed their attendance, however anyone who is reading about the event for the first time, or who has previously put their name forward but not been contacted yet, is asked to call Emma on 01326 213341 or email emma.ferguson@packetseries.co.uk
