Roskilly's ice cream has scooped the top spot in a national children's guide to holidays in the UK.

The farm near St Keverne creamed the competition in the “best ice cream” category of the UK Our Way Guide by Parkdean Holidays, written by kids for kids.

Beating Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream Farm and The Dartmouth Ice Cream Company, Roskilly's is credited for its “creamy, organic milk” from its “lovely herd.”

Also scoring highly is the Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, which took second in the “your favourite zoo or aquarium” group, coming above Edinburgh Zoo and beaten only by Monkey World in Dorset, which won for the second year running.

In total 11 Cornish attractions made the list of winners, with Kennack Sands for its sandcastle properties, Lizard Point for its photo opportunities and Flambards as an “ultimate day out” also recognised among the “other suggestions.”
