Which ice cream makers have scooped 'best in Britain' award from kids?

First published in News

Roskilly's ice cream has scooped the top spot in a national children's guide to holidays in the UK.

The farm near St Keverne creamed the competition in the “best ice cream” category of the UK Our Way Guide by Parkdean Holidays, written by kids for kids.

Beating Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream Farm and The Dartmouth Ice Cream Company, Roskilly's is credited for its “creamy, organic milk” from its “lovely herd.”

Also scoring highly is the Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, which took second in the “your favourite zoo or aquarium” group, coming above Edinburgh Zoo and beaten only by Monkey World in Dorset, which won for the second year running.

In total 11 Cornish attractions made the list of winners, with Kennack Sands for its sandcastle properties, Lizard Point for its photo opportunities and Flambards as an “ultimate day out” also recognised among the “other suggestions.”

My thoughts are with the Roskilly's family today as it was the funeral of Joe Roskilly.

How out of date is this, kennack sands is all sharp pebbles and slimy mud, no sand, coverack has sand, and as for Flambards, it's now the ultimate rip off day out, pay for disabled no family tickets and they've closed the demon ride, closed this and closed that. The most expensive day of the year. Lizard point for its photo opportunities, what a load of crap, £5 for a national trust car park practically and no better photos than anywhere else locally, except of a load of cars and pollution filled sea and rip off cafe.
Yeah you lot Cornwall sucks ( and Wales), you tell them john

I've voted it back to nil, but why would any two sick morons vote your comment down Gill on this one I don't know. Havnt some people got any standards on this website. Joe was the owner of Roskillys wasn't he, with his wife. If the packet was any good at journalism they would have reported the death and the closure of Roskillys yesterday at 2 o'clock for the funeral. If I'd known when I read this I wouldn't have left my first post. Bad timing for the packet to put this on here I think. Could have waited until today.
You cannot blame the Packet, their journalism is good and they cannot be expected to publish everything unless someone tells them about it. I see nothing wrong with them putting the article on here when they did anyway.

Helston John has been removed, probably setting up a new email and will be back under a new name, but as now 'happy days'.

Yes, I notice the old website has been removed too, and changed format and colour again, looks nice.
