Four people and a dog in a motor boat had to be rescued by Falmouth RNLI after they broke down in Falmouth Docks on the morning of the Tall Ships parade of sail.

The coastguard asked Falmouth RNLI to launch the inshore lifeboat to help the motor boat No Agenda which had broken down off the northern arm of the docks at around 11.30am on Sunday.

An RNLI spokesperson said: “The boat was taken in tow and the inshore lifeboat proceeded up the Penryn River placing the boat on its mooring off Trevissome at 11.55am.

“The motor boat with four people and a dog had suffered engine problems believed to be associated with the fuel system.”

The volunteer crew was: Neil Capper (Helmsman), Sandy Procter, Sam Hall
