Falmouth Coatguard’s cliff rescue team were called out on Tuesday night to a report of a missing person in at Bream Cove near Nansidwell.
While en route, the team were told that the person had been found, and were asked to help with lighting and directing them to the main road, but found upon arrival that the group were already there.
A coastguard spokesperson said: “We gave a quick welfare check and all was in order other than one of the party being a little intoxicated.
“All returned to their respective homes safe and well and we were stood down.”
