Join Fugro Seacore Ladies in Celebrating and Making Memories With less than a month to go before Children’s Hospice South West’s (CHSW) sixth annual Moonlight Memory Walk in Falmouth the charity are delighted to see the numbers rising as more and more ladies sign up.

The walk is taking place on the evening of the September 27 and is a five mile circular sponsored walk around Falmouth celebrating the memory of loved ones with every step.

Some of those taking part are a team of 15 colleagues from event sponsor Fugro Seacore.

Sandra Orchard, Assistant Accountant at Fugro Seacore is very much looking forward to taking part in the walk with her colleagues. “The Fugro Seacore ladies are looking forward to the walk, many have young children and the charity is a cause very close to our hearts, it is also a good excuse for a get together whilst walking and chatting - doing something positive in the community.”

Sarah Stott, Events Fundraiser for CHSW is looking forward to bringing the event to Falmouth again; “The Falmouth community are always so supportive of our Moonlight Memory Walk and I really hope that this year we have some new participants and also see the return of those who have supported us in the past. It is always a very special evening for everyone involved, whether a walker, marshal or CHSW team member.”

Before the walk there is a touching Memory Ceremony on the Moor where everyone has the chance to reflect on their loved ones and this is followed by a few words from the team at Little Harbour – CHSW’s Cornish children’s hospice. The team will say a few words to thank everyone who is taking part and to remind participants that their sponsorship money will go towards the care and support offered to children with life limiting illnesses and their families.

If you are interested in taking part in this event then you simply need to register online at which costs just £10 and then participants are encouraged to raise as much money as possible in sponsorship. CHSW has set up the event on Facebook, simply visit to find it.
