After two years of cleaning and clearing, Penryn’s Glasney Greenspace Regeneration Project will hold its first ever fun day on the field this Saturday, September 6.

The day will include under-16’s bike time trials on the bike track, and a bouncy castle, facepainting and bubble football, with Penryn Town Council bringing out the town stocks for the day.

There will be food and drinks from Penryn’s Rebel Brewing Co and The Shellfish Pig as well as music from local DJ’s and musicians.

Project secretary Pip Carlton-Barnes, said: “This is our first fun day event on the field and one we hope will be the first of many. Over the last two years we have worked hard to restore various areas of the valley, moved a mountain of rubbish, filled in a tonne of forms and spoken to hundreds of people.

“We want to have some fun now and see the field being used for what it is intended for.

The fun day runs from 11am to 4pm and sign-up for the free bike trials is between 11am and 11.30am.
