Musical director of St Keverne Silver Band honoured by Gorsedh
The musical director of St Keverne Silver Band has been honoured by the Council of Gorsedh Kernow at their annual awards.
Gareth Churcher has won the Brass Band Trophy, after being described as a “talented composer who inspires”.
The band, made up of more than 85 players, was placed highest in the Cornish Brass Band Association Championships, including the best euphonium player.
