The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority has published a summary of all MP's claims for the year 2013/14, with Falmouth and Truro MP Sarah Newton, Camborne and Redruth MP George Eustice and West Cornwall MP Andrew George together claiming over £486,000.

Mr Eustice claimed a grand total of £131,759.47, made up of office costs totalling £9,235.95, staff costs of £112,979.65, and £9,543.87 for travel and subsistence. Mr Eustice is listed as not making any claim for accomodation or miscillanious expenses.

Mr Eustice was paid a basic salary of £66,396.00 and also given £3,759.96 London Area Living Payment (LALP) to help cover the additional costs of living in London.

Andrew George claimed a grand total of £188,724.09, made up ofoffice costs of £22,812.72, staffing costs of £132,819.77, travel costs of £13,279.00 and accomodation costs of £19,812.60.

Mr George employs Jill George as secretary.

Mrs Newton claimed a grand total of £166,051.17, made of office costs of £22,746.26, just £3.74 under the maximum permitted, staffing expenses of £134,711.64, £2,760.52 under the maximum, travel expemses of £8,321.11 and miscellaneous expenses of £272.16.

Mrs Newton also received a £66,396.00 and is not listed as having any family members as employees.

IPSA says that further claims and repayments may have been processed since this date, which will be reflected on this site in November 2014.

• Office Costs - The cost of renting, equipping and running an MP’s office and surgeries.

• Start Up - The costs of setting up an office when you first become an MP.

• Winding Up - All costs incurred in the two months after someone ceases to be an MP, to help them wind up their office e,g, payroll costs, removing furniture.

• Accommodation - The cost of overnight accommodation in either London or the constituency. This can cover hotels, a rented property or utility bills etc on a property the MP owns. Please note, MPs who represent a constituency in the London Area are not entitled to claim from this budget.

• Travel & Subsistence - Travel between the constituency and Westminster, travel within the constituency and elsewhere on parliamentary business. Also covers some limited hotel costs for MPs and their staff.
