Judges tasted and tested more than 900 entries before picking winners at the annual Leedstown village show.

The show was opened by Mr and Mrs Trevor Rodda, who were presented with buttonholes by Lola and Nyla Treloar. Mr Rodda was a founder member of the Village Hall committee when the Hall was opened in 1958, representing the Young Farmers, who still use the hall today.

Mr Rodda said he was delighted to see the refurbishment of the hall and also how well it is being used at the present.

Held in Leedstown Village Hall on Saturday, September 20, the event was well supported by Leedstown and Crowan primary schools, with 280 entries in the children's classes.

The committee thanked the judges, stewards, exhibitors and anyone who helped in any way to make the show a success, as well as the public for attending and supporting and everyone who contributed raffle prizes, produce and refreshments.
