Cornwall Council will be holding a public meeting to share information and listen to public opinion on plans to demolish the Ponsmere Hotel in Perranporth.

Developers want to knock down the hotel and build a raft of apartments and houses.

The planning application PA14/01020 by  Perranporth Developments Ltd, would see the hotel on Ponsmere Road replaced with 28 residential apartments, 11 houses, 2 flats over garages a restaurant and car parking.

The public meeting will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 6pm in the Perranporth Memorial Hall, TR6 0DP.

Anyone who attends the meeting who wishes to express their views on the planning application to the Central Sub-Area Planning Committee will be asked to register on arrival and will then be called upon to speak.

The public meeting provides an opportunity for councillors to listen to the views of local people. Please note no decision will be taken at the public meeting.

The maximum capacity for the hall is 190 and this cannot be exceeded.

The planning application is due to be considered and debated at the central sub-area planning committee meeting at 2pm in the council chamber at the oouncil offices at Truro on Monday, November 24.
