Police are appealing for witnesses to an "unprovoked assault" on an elderly man in Camborne.

As he stepped out of the doorway he was knocked off his feet by a male skateboarder.

The victim, from Redruth, sustained cuts and bruises to his arms and face, plus a suspected broken nose.

Police are investigating the assault and seeking the suspect who is described as white, aged 15-17, of slim build, around 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall, and dark hair just above shoulder length. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans and carrying a skateboard.
