PENRYN will get the chance to play Torquay Athletic again after the club appealed to the Tribute Western Counties West League organising committee.

A protest was made by Borough following their narrow 22-21 loss on Saturday after their hosts claimed to have no props fit enough to play the rest of the game, leading to uncontested scrums.

Players and management from Penryn believed one of the replacements for Athletic had played in the front row earlier this season.

Under Regulation 13 appendix two, Rule 16, the league's organising committee sided with Borough and have decided the match shall be replayed at the next available date.

Both teams have the right to appeal, although Borough's head coach Russell Lawrance agreed with the ruling.

On Friday morning he tweeted: "The Penryn v Torquay is to be replayed. This is fair and just in my humble opinion."
