Cury School held a fundraising breakfast, opening the doors of its breakfast club to the community to raise money for an outdoor classroom.
Around 80 people turned up for the morning, where the menu included full English breakfasts, cereals and peaches.
The event brought the school £300 closer to its £20,000 target.
Samantha Ratcliffe, from the school, said: “We’re about three quarters of the way there now. We’re only a small school so it’s taken quite a while.”
The classroom, which they have already named ‘The Faraway Lodge’, is going to be set in a willow garden in the school’s grounds.
More fundraising events are planned for the future, which include an evening of comedy for parents and another breakfast morning next term.
