Falmouth's mayor, John Body headed a parade of fellow dignitaries, veterans and cadets on his way to his civic service on Sunday.

Mr Body was joined by his wife, Linda, and several members of Falmouth Town Council, along with mayors from other nearby towns, including Helston, for pre-parade hospitality in the council chamber.

They were then joined by standard bearers and veterans from the Royal British Legion, Merchant Navy Association, Royal Navy Association and the Parachute Regiment, along with Falmouth's police cadets and local business and community leaders for the parade which was lead by Kernow Pipes and Drums.

The parade left The Moor made its way through the town centre to Falmouth Parish Church of King Charles the Martyr where the service was held. After this, the parade reformed and marched down to Events Square where guests were invited to join Mr Body at a reception in Zizzis.
