The summer ban on dogs on beaches in Falmouth should remain in place according to town councillors who debated the issue at length on Friday.
The town council’s beach management group is to recommend that there be no changes to the current restrictions in regards to dogs on beaches.
When the issue was discussed, the group’s chairman, councillor Steve Gray, who owns Castle Beach Cafe, handed over control of the meeting to councillor Maureen Davies after declaring an interest.
The group’s recommendation will now go before the next meeting of the council’s finance and general purposes committee.
