A sixteen-year-old schoolboy found at the botom of a cliff at Newquay is  is now conscious and off life support, but is still in intensive care.

 Police are appealing for information after Connor Simmonds, who is believed to have fallen down a cliff near Whipsiderry Beach, was found at around 11am on Tuesday, October 14.

A police spokesman said: "The family are please to inform that Connor is now conscious and off life support. Whilst he is still very unwell, his condition has improved and it is hoped that he will be moved out of the intensive care unit in the coming days.

"Connor is a sixth form pupil at Treviglas School, St Columb Minor, and police are appealing to anybody who saw Connor on Tuesday morning between 8.30am and 11am to come forward."

Connor was wearing blue jeans, a yellow t-shirt and a green and grey jumper and was possibly wearing a black baseball cap.

Connor’s rucksack had been found at the top of the cliff above Whipsiderry Beach, Porth, Newquay.
