Falmouth and Penryn Police Cadets worked hard on Wednesday evening delivering over 500 posters to Falmouth residents who are not keen on Hallowe’en trick or treating.

The cadets took the posters to Penwerris residents who don’t want to be visited by revellers on Friday evening.

Ellie Grey, police cadet leader, said: “We have delivered these leaflets for the last couple of years and it has proven to be very successful.

“Assemblies and talks have been held in local schools across the town, explaining what the posters mean and the behaviour that is expected on this busy night of the year.

“We want all of the young people in our community to enjoy the Hallowe’en fun but to be mindful and respectful of those who do not wish to take part.

“Police will be out and about during Friday evening and we hope that there are no issues. Further leaflets will be distributed across the town over the coming days.

“They are also available at local post offices and community offices such as the Beacon resource centre on Old Hill.”
