Plans to replace a bungalow and flat on a riverside site in Falmouth with six apartments have been lodged with Cornwall Council.

David Tonkin And Nick Voller are behind the proposals for 20 North Parade which would result in five, two bedroom and one, three bedroom apartments in a four storey building on the site, which is currently home to a four bedroom bungalow over a one-bedroom self-contained flat and garden. Additionally, permission was granted in 2010 for a bungalow fronting Penryn River.

The new plans also include six car parking spaces and a turning area.

The neighbouring site has planning consent for a block of nine apartments fronting North Parade and four homes on the river frontage, which are currently under construction.

The current proposals have been the subject of pre-application inquiries and the developers have agreed to a section 106 agreement in respect of open space, education and affordable housing contributions.
