Traders and artists in Penryn hope that Christmas shoppers will pop down to their pop-up shop to find something that little bit different this festive season.
They have banded together to run a temporary Christmas shop on Islington Wharf, Church Hill, from November 15 until Christmas Eve.
Featuring everything from gourmet foods to baby clothes to art, it will be open from 10am to 4pm every weekday and from 11am to 5pm at weekends.
One of the event organisers is Lea Parry, who runs nearby shop Deli & Spice, said: “This will be an extravaganza of all things amazing and local. There will be unique gifts for him, presents for her, and something special for everyone.
“There will be recycled and reworked clothing from Re-Dress, which is also based here at Islington Wharf, as well as baby and children’s clothing and toys from Little Eco-Parent, unique Magnextix jewellery, plus Italian wines and exclusive olive oils.”
Penryn street food van, The Shellfish Pig, will be serving up treats, and there will also be the chance to buy Falmouth writer Peter Maxted’s The Natural Beauty Of Cornwall.
