This year, the University of Exeter has teamed up with The Royal Cornwall Polytechnic and the Falmouth Café Scientifique to ring in the |holiday |season with The Science of Christmas.
The family-friendly event will be held on Wednesday, December 3 at 6.30pm at The Poly in Falmouth.
Come find out the answers to |important Christmas-themed questions such as: How does Santa find you? Do other animals dress up for the |holidays? Are miraculous births really possible? Why do we overeat at Christmas? Are humans the only |animals who decorate for special |occasions and why are reindeer good at helping Santa deliver gifts?
The event, which is part of the Poly’s annual Christmas Fair, is aimed at |primary school children (about six years up) but will be just as interesting to their adult chaperones—and all |attendees will receive a small Christmas gift so they can remember the evening.
Audience members will also have a chance to test our experts’ knowledge by posing their own holiday-themed questions at the end of the event.
