A man charged with murder following a death near St Keverne has been released on conditional bail.

Daniel Richard Schofield, aged 28, from St Keverne, made no plea when he appeared before Truro Crown Court yesterday (Tuesday).

Schofield is charged with the murder of Roy Hanson, age 50, from the Helston area.

Mr Hanson is thought to have been struck with a bolt from a crossbow, according to a police spokesman at the time of the death in October.

Schofield will next appear at the court on March 6, when he is expected to make a plea.

Conditions of his bail include surrendering his passport.
