To celebrate the 170th anniversary of Hans Christian Anderson's Snow Queen being published, KarnonKidz will be performing their version of the magical tale this weekend in Perranwell.

A spokesperson for the company said: “Forget Disney’s Frozen, this production will put it in the shade. Our young cast will mesmerise you with their talent and our costume department have worked miracles producing some fabulous outfits. We could definitely compete with Strictly Come Dancing in the glitter and sequin stakes.”

Staying true to the original story, the production sees Kai taken by the Snow Queen. Gerda, his friend, travels through strange lands in her quest to find him, ably assisted along the way by rivers, flowers, crows and a reindeer to name but a few.

During the interval mulled wine and festive goodies will be served. Performances are at 2pm and 7pm on Saturday, December 20 at Perranwell Village Hall. Tickets costing £6, and £4 for children, are available from the box office on 0845 4500296 or on the door.
