The children of Penryn Junior School enjoyed some festive fundraising recently as they started the season with a Christmas fair.
Adults as well as children enjoyed raffles, games, and the opportunity to buy gifts for friends and family, as well as a range of refreshments, while helping the school raise money for new equipment.
It was the last time the Junior and Infant Schools hold their own Christmas fair before they merge to become a primary school academy in January.
Head teacher of Penryn Junior and Penryn Infants schools, Robin Cowen said: “In just two hours of trading the fair raised over £2,600, an incredible testament to the many parents who came.”
Mr Cowen said that the school had yet to decide what the funds will be used for, with different classes able to bid for some of the funds. And while there was no definite list, some may go towards iPads for the school to help learning.
