Firefighters had to cut off the roof of a car to free a casualty after a crash on the A30 at Chybucca yesterday evening.

The crew was sent just before 6.30pm after a report of a three vehicle rcrash on the A30 Perranporth junction at Chybucca.

Ten firefighters from Truro and Perranporth were mobilised to the scene along with five in a rescue tender from Camborne.

A spokesman said: "On arrival crews used crash rescue equipment to remove the roof and door of a car to release one trapped casualty. Once released the casualty was left in the care of ambulance crews and firefighters made the vehicles safe."
