A shop assistant was left 'very shaken' after a knife and hammer wielding robber raided a Penzance off licence yesterday.
Police in Cornwall are appealing for witnesses following the robbery at around 8.20 pm on the evening of Thursday, December 18 at the Rosevean Off- Licence, in Rosevean Road, Penzance.
A man, wearing a balaclava entered the premises armed with a knife and hammer, and threatened a member of staff, demanding money.
A quantity of cash was handed over from the till and the man then made good his escape.
The shop assistant was very shaken following the incident but not injured.
The suspect is described as wearing a balaclava and a beige and white jumper.
Police are appealing for witnesses and in particular anyone who was in the vicinity of Rosevean Road between 7.00pm and 9.00pm and saw anything suspicious.
